A web ecosystem in transformation
Since February 2025, wizAcom has been supporting the REEL Group through a major milestone in its digital journey. For nearly 80 years, the group has been innovating.
Over time, it has built a strong online presence with seven different websites, each created to meet a specific need at a specific moment. Our mission was to modernize, unify, and secure this ecosystem so it could better meet today’s expectations: clarity, accessibility, security, SEO performance, and compliance.
Previous web design for the REEL Group
Phase 1: a user‑centric and compliance‑driven redesign
The wizAcom team worked across several key areas:
- The design was completely rethought to be responsive, clear, and intuitive.
- The user experience was optimized for technical and international visitors.
- Content was updated, streamlined, and SEO‑optimized.
- All images were renamed and paired with French and English alt tags.
- The technical foundation was strengthened with a custom WordPress theme, Polylang for bilingual management, Contact Form 7, and Complianz for GDPR compliance.
- Site security was reinforced at every level.
Phase 2: consolidating the satellite websites
Since the launch of the new main website in September, wizAcom has been working with REEL’s Head of Communications to progressively retire six brand websites that were no longer updated or maintained.
This wasn’t deletion — it was strategic consolidation:
- The best content was extracted and rewritten to preserve REEL’s technical yet accessible tone.
- 1,000+ URLs were redirected to maintain SEO performance and user experience.
- Obsolete sites were shut down in cooperation with teams across France, Canada, Germany, and other locations worldwide.

A close partnership with REEL’s Head of communications
This project was made possible thanks to a close partnership with REEL’s Head of Communications. She coordinated internal expertise across the globe to provide updated content, high‑quality visuals, and the latest versions of bilingual PDF brochures.
To measure the impact of this unification, wizAcom recommended DataScale, represented by Mr. Saloid — a German company specializing in data analytics for large enterprises. The tools deployed now allow real‑time monitoring of SEO performance, security, and user experience.
A web ecosystem that reflects REEL’s expertise
For nearly 80 years, REEL has supported major industrial players in demanding sectors: nuclear, aerospace, aluminum, hydropower, offshore, defense… With 3,400 employees and 57 locations worldwide, its digital ecosystem must reflect the scale of its expertise.
By unifying its global site and retiring outdated satellites, REEL now speaks with one clear, secure, accessible voice, ready to meet tomorrow’s digital challenges.
And with 2026 marking the group’s 80th anniversary, the Head of Communications can now rely on a high‑performance, secure, user‑focused website to support all upcoming celebrations.
